PR & Communications Manager

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for you with experience in communication, consumer PR, and media relations to manage Elgiganten's brand in earned media.
About the role of PR & Communications Manager
As PR & Communications Manager, you will be a key person in managing and developing Elgiganten's position in the Swedish market together with the marketing department. You will be responsible for all earned media and drive the operational communication work forward.
Responsibilities in the role:
- Build and maintain relationships with media, journalists, and other stakeholders.
- Plan and execute activities based on our communication strategy.
- Write and publish press releases (via TT) and handle press inquiries, including responsibility for the press phone.
- Advise management and spokespersons on messaging, media training, and crisis communication.
- Be responsible for overall internal communication via Microsoft Viva Engage.
- Project lead financial reports together with the CEO and CFO.
- Drive social sustainability through Elgiganten's fund against digital exclusion.
- Collaborate with local PR agency and Nordic colleagues within the Elkjøp group.
- Be part of the crisis group and manage crisis communication.
You will report to the Head of Marketing & E-commerce and become part of the marketing department at the headquarters. Together with the marketing team, you will be part of creating a 360-degree customer journey regardless of channel, aiming to drive awareness, engagement, traffic, and sales in both stores and e-commerce. To succeed well in the engaged team, you will work closely with colleagues in other departments, partners, and suppliers.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is driven, communicative, and solution-oriented.
- Can handle different opinions and stakeholders to make well-informed decisions.
- Is organized and has strong project management skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with many parallel tasks in everyday life.
To succeed in the role, we wish for the following qualifications and experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in PR/communication in a similar role.
- Relevant education in PR, communication, journalism, or marketing.
- Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English, with a sense for the right message and formulations.
- Experience in media relations and preferably experience in crisis management (desirable but not required).
- Experience working with financial reports and sustainability reporting.
- Experience from retail, commerce, or the electronics industry is desirable but not required.

Other Information:
Employment type: Temporary position for about 1 year starting May 4, 2026.
Scope: Full-time. Office hours.
Start date: Start date by agreement.
Location: The position is based at our office in Stockholm, Franzéngatan 6, with a hybrid work model where you can work from home up to two days a week.
